If you go through the SubscribeStar archives on the support page, you will see I wasted quite a few panels explaining my purposes with this comic. However, the time had come to try and tell a story. There was some interest in whether I would make a sequel to either of my Jump the Shark books at the time, so I decided to try and explain how Jump the Shark went from being a character in the kids' books to being a member of a team of video game icons.
At this point, I still thought I was creating scribbly, crap art. But unbeknownst to me, I was already on the path to really, truly trying to make something nice.
